My mom is very intruding and reluctant on me trying to get a job. She pays for my education but now I feel that I don’t want to rely that much on a woman in life and be independent.

I am in sybcom doing through distance and doing US CMA. I know job might affect my studies. My mom always tries to convince me otherwise. I want to start earning.

See I want to be independent and want to stop relying on her and pave my own life. I am even okay with paying her 25% of my salary as household expenses coz I need to have an insurance and everything. I am fustrated from her nagging

With the help of my contacts and skills I can land a 20k above job easily.

My question ; given the fact that she pays for everything and I live under her roof can she legally stop me from getting a job? She always seems very pressing and dominating and works in govt.
