UA friend of mine broke up. I didn’t know as we hadn’t spoken in a long time. Randomly I get from her about this and mid convo she says she feels so terrible she wants to kill herself. I obviously comforted her and told her it’s gonna be okay and that I’m there for her. I really want to help her but I don’t have the capacity to get involved legally. Plus the fact that I’m in Delhi and she lives in kolkata completing her mba and won’t be back for another few months. Idk how to handle the situation. Is the remark of killing herself supposed to be taken very seriously? I can’t directly speak to her parents coz it’ll just get weird. Is someone could guide that other than simply being there for her and talking to her what else should I be doing from a legal standpoint. I don’t want later that something happens and I get in trouble for taking action earlier about her state.
