A friend of mine who has a foreign company wants to setup a office here in India.

Basically the title.
They have a big IT firm in USA they want to open a India office, what is the process, and how much would be the cost.

Edit: They probably want a Indian subsidiary and my state is Kolkata.

In case you want to set up a company then register with MCA it will be a private company so the compliance is will be more you can even set up an limited liability partnership the compliance is a less in that cost of starting a company by registering it will be less but the cost of compliance will be high but I don’t think it will cost a lot might be done in 50000
