February 10, 2025 at 2:59 pmI am a ug student and shifted to a pg in Lajpat Nagar in october. My friend and I were planning to stay there for 6-7 months but the day I reached the pg, we got to know the owner had double booked one bed. When we talked to the owner, she told us that the other girl will move out after 2 days (she didn’t move for an entire month). There were extreme level of insects and bugs in the room, no lock in the cupboards, the main door of the pg used to stay wide open for the entire night, there was no camera or caretaker (the owner told us before shifting that there was one), half of the time she would send less food, the amenities she showed us and the ones that were actually there weren’t same and up until midnight male workers would work inside the girls’ pg without anyone supervising the.The owner would repeatedly lie to us about everything and didn’t even make us sign any agreement. The rent was 14k and the security amount was 14k(fully refundable), so I paid her 28k when I moved in. I moved out before the end of one month due to all the issues and asked her to refund my security money. But she doesn’t answer my calls, has blocked me and now I don’t know what to do. She has multiple PG in Lajpat and ashram area but there’s no as such office where I can go and meet her. I am scared of reaching out to cops and I don’t think they would even do anything. Any idea what I can do
P.s. owner’s name is Priya Agarwal and her pg are under the name Universal pg. PLEASE DON’T EVER LIVE IN HER PG -
