UI recently purchased a Voltas split ac. I know standard installation charges. I also know if any extra material is required then it will bear by customer. But now here comes the problem:
He is asking 1000 rupees for just 3 meters taping. He mentioned he would use 10 meters tape and charge me accordingly. But however tape alone cost around 80-100 for 10 meters.
Even I bring my own tape he will still charge me 300-400 just for taping wires. This is so disgusting.
Seriously He is charging 9-10 times???
Then comes drainage pipe. He is charging 360 for 3 meter pipe. Even though this much length is not required
For cutting into walls he asked me around 2000 separately. Is this some joke??
He mentioned he can charge me for extra wires as well but distance between indoor and outdoor is hardly beyond 5 ft.
These all cost are above standard installation charges.
So as of now I didn’t get my installation done by the technician and canceled it.
I contacted Croma and Voltas customer support but they are of no help. They said only technician decides the rate but technician mentions that rates come from company.
It is just a deadlock for customer.
If company has no involvement in charges by technician then I can get this Installation done by any local technician but then same company say warranty will be void.
I am very frustrated now. And don’t know what to do next. Please suggest me something 🙏🏻
