April 30, 2025 at 8:22 amRecently i switched my father’s dialysis to mohan Naga hospital in ghaziabad. My father gets shot of Darbecon 40 and FCM dosage for haemoglobin and iron respectively ,these injection cost 3-4 times by mrp at what price I get it from outer sources.
This hospital deny me use of these injection because I haven’t purchased it from their in house pharmacy and are not even providing the policy , where it is written to do so or giving me in writing
I checked mohfw’s patient right and their it is clearly mention patient have right to chose their where to purchase their medicine and tests.
What to do about it?.

April 30, 2025 at 8:36 amIf there is an adverse reaction then hospital is responsible. It could be due to faulty medicine or improper storage. Quality cannot be assured. Hence some hospitals may insist on this.-

April 30, 2025 at 8:53 amThey make us sign consent form if anything happen while on dialysis hospital is not liable and in that scenario everything come under hospital’s supervison. Then can make me sign consent for the medicine as well and in my previous dialysis centre we used these medicines from outer sources from last 2year and no issues.
When I asked MS(medical superintendent) he told me to get the dialysis done from other center I do not have any written document or statement for you.

April 30, 2025 at 11:56 amThis is dependent on certain certifications. Like jco nabh accredited hospitals may do such things. Popular ones like fortis and all. Nursing home won’t have such issue

April 30, 2025 at 11:55 amYou have to see the MRP on the medicine. If they are charging more than that then it’s a violation. But I don’t think anyone will charge more than MRP. Maybe other places are giving it you at a discount-
