March 11, 2025 at 1:48 pmMy ex-wife and I have agreed for X amount of money to be paid by me monthly (permanently) in our mutual consent divorce petition. My question is, if I am ever unable to pay this amount due to changes in my earning situation, can she take it to court and demand the money or possessions to the same worth in lieu? What will happen if she goes to court? Will the court enforce the exact terms of the divorce only or examine our financial situations and decide accordingly? For example, will they ask for my financial statements. -
