PSo when I was in hostel I got a BSNL Ftth connection. I was paying the dues regularly but at once point of time I stopped paying cuz 60% of the time the fibre connection was showing issues. So I left my hostel on July of 2024, and now I am getting message from BSNL like:
“Dear BSNL Customer,An amount of *Rs 3512.46/-* is unpaid against your Phone No. *03774-xxxx45* with Account No. *800873xxxx*.
Please pay your dues to avoid *Legal proceedings* at the *National Lok Adalat*.
Click *Pay Now* or Pay at any BSNL Cash Counters.
No Dues Certificate shall be issued by BSNL after settlement.
For queries, contact your local Accounts Officer (TR).
BSNL reserves all rights to take legal steps to realize the dues. Please ignore, if paid.

So should I be worried?

AAmount is not much and you can pay after that just print out the original bill and go to the bsnl office to close that connection otherwise you will receive the bill until you didn’t close the account. Regarding the legal proceedings we don’t know whether government employees will take any action or not but if they take it will be long hearings and so on and waste of your money more than the billed amount.

PI already closed the account on July of last year. I am not paying out of spite cause the internet was so shit, it got disconnected many time while I was playing a game and also 2-3 times when I was giving online interviews.

ADid you have any application copy or receipt received regarding the closing of account if yes you can go and verify otherwise you know the government can take shit out of anyone.
