May 2, 2025 at 3:40 pmHi,I need some advice on what all things I should gather so that if things go sideways I can go to consumer court with enough data and information.
Here are the details. I ordered a PS5 from Amazon and it got delivered next day. When I checked, the box was damaged and seal of packet was broken. It clearly looked like used product and hence I raised return request with refund. Amazon took 5 days to accept the return request and scheduled a pick up.
Things started going south from here. All the scheduled pick up never happened with reasons like ‘pick up was rejected’. No one came to house to check or no calls. After multiple calls to amazon, I was only told that it will be packed up in next few days.
Now they are asking for 5 more days to conduct some more “internal investigation” after which they will schedule another pick up.
In all these I am stuck with product which is clearly used or defective and no concrete answers from Amazon. If I need to go to consumer court for this, what all things should I have to make a strong case.

May 2, 2025 at 5:43 pmIβm also facing similar issue, order some stuff which was faulty and I raised a return request within 30 mins of product was delivered and itβs been over 8 days now and every time return request is placed sellers just rejects it.I think this problem is primarily with these shady sellers who sell product and then donβt accept the return.
Similarly, like in your case Amazon has opened internal investigation and asked for another 4 days.
And; I know nothing will happen.
P.S – Iβve made sure that anything over 5k and especially electronics Iβll buy from a proper retail shop like Croma.

May 2, 2025 at 6:10 pmWrite to grievance officer, tag them on twitter, had a similar issue it got resolved that way, also make sure you have an unboxing video, this is done by their delivery agents not amazon.
