April 1, 2025 at 8:45 amI recently ordered a Crucial 1TB SSD from Amazon and when it arrived I noticed scratches on the pins and stains on the drive. Upon testing it turned out to be completely defective The worst part? It was packed in just a plastic bag with no proper protection making it highly likely that it got damaged in transitI contacted amazon customer support and they raised an investigation and now they are telling me that investigation has concluded that the product was delivered is right ( like bro how the hell do you know if it’s defective or no from just the outer packing) and they also claimed that my account has had multiple refund claims (which is false) I even offered to provide uncut unboxing footage as proof or have a technician inspect the drive but they still won’t help
Now my money is stuck and Amazon is refusing to take responsibility
This feels like a complete scam I’ve escalated via email and social media but no real resolution yet.
what steps should I take next?Any advice would be appreciated

April 1, 2025 at 8:50 amThis is standard practice these days from Amazon. Maybe you have a genuine case, but they also get a lot of fraudulent and unjustified returns.Have you returned other items from Amazon recently ?
You will probably have to approach a consumer forum or courts to get your money back.

April 1, 2025 at 11:41 amThey probably have you flagged as a problem/unprofitable account. Don’t be surprised if they kick you off claiming violation of their return and refund policy.
