UHey, I was wondering how to obtain this certificate but a little backstory first
I was born outside of India and never visited India my entire life and I’m getting married abroad to a foreigner and I need this document.
Now I’ve contacted the embassy but they told me I needed to get this paper all the way in India and I have no way of getting it because Idk how to .I’ve done research and they’ve said I needed to get it through an sdm and previously one of my family members got married a few years ago and they said all they had to do is scan it get some to sign it and then apostle it .
But the thing is I don’t know if I can do it especially since the embassy literally offered no help regarding anything,do you guys know where can I get this paper if I can do it myself online or do I have to actually get it through an sdm in India
Any advice or links would be appreciated please I’ve been stressing about this for so long and no one knows anything I’m getting so much mixed information I don’t know what steps to take 😭.
