        Hey Reddit,

I recently got involved (unknowingly) in some work related to a QCI survey in my city. Later, I found out that people were being sent to do unofficial work connected to it. What’s worse — someone directly admitted to me over a phone call that they were taking bribes from the local Nagar Palika to manipulate survey outcomes.

        Here’s the tricky part:

The call was made from the phone of a girl I had sent to help with the work.

The girl is completely innocent and didn’t know what was going on.

But in that call, the actual person admits openly to bribery.

I’ve saved the recording. I want to raise this issue properly because it’s unfair, unethical, and possibly illegal — but I also don’t want it to backfire on me or harm the innocent girl whose number was used.

I’m planning to send a complaint to QCI, the Anti-Corruption Bureau, and maybe tag the issue publicly (LinkedIn/Twitter), but I want to be careful.

Can I be in legal trouble for this if the accused tries to deny it or if the proof isn’t considered strong enough?
What’s the safest and most effective way to report this?

Appreciate any advice. I just want to do the right thing, but smartly.

Hide the girl’s identity by some audio editing software. Keep the corrupt babu’s voice and identity. Let’s shame and publicly expose the corrupt babudom for what they are.
