I was exploring a business idea where people could fund indie films and receive a share of the returns based on performance. Not donations, actual revenue sharing.

Found out SEBI classifies digital equity crowdfunding as unauthorized under the Securities Contracts (Regulation) Act, 1956.

Is there any legal structure that could make something like this work in India? Revenue sharing agreements, LLPs, anything? Has anyone dealt with a similar situation?
