        Hi all,

        So as the title says,

Let’s say a woman is earning 2 lakhs a months and man earns 3 lakhs a month.

Now, he demands his wife to contribute 1.5 lakhs a month but

the wife refuses and says she will contribute only 75k a month as she would not like to spend more that 40% of her salary on the household expenses but since the husband claims that the expenses of the house are huge so he will need 1.5 lakhs monthly contribution from her.

The matter escalates and husband threatens with divorce and also tell her that he will claim alimony.

So can he do that in this case?

It’s not that she is not contributing to expenses, its just that he is demanding a huge monthly contribution from her.

Will the court side with the husband?

**Plot twist:** What if the husband’s earnings are from a business which is not on his name and on his mom’s or dad’s name?

So he will show an income much less than the wife’s earnings.
