May 4, 2026 at 2:29 pmHi,I recently bought a protein supplement (~βΉ10k order) from a well-known brand. I received only about half the quantity, and the outer package seal containing the pouches was already open.
Initially, I emailed them without video proof (family had received & opened the package). The next day, I found that a recording did exist and sent it immediately. Despite this, the company rejected my complaint, sharing only a packing video that did not verify seal integrity or actual quantity.
I then filed a complaint with the National Consumer Helpline. After that:
* They called and promised a replacement (~12β15 days later)
* No follow-up for a week β I emailed
* After ~22 days, they arranged a reverse pickup without prior coordination; I had already started consuming part of the product β I declined
* They again promised replacement β no action
* Eventually dispatched a package, but entered the wrong phone number β I couldnβt receive OTP, so delivery failed
* I informed them immediately; no response
* They later claimed I βrefused delivery,β with a conversation screenshot which was likely with the person whos contact details were put, despite their error in putting the wrong contact details which werent updated despite promises from their sideSince then, there has been repeated delay, inconsistent communication, and no resolution. Maybe i will eventually get it, but what about my time?
My question:
Even if they eventually send the missing quantity, can I pursue compensation for the time loss, repeated false assurances, and overall handling of the issue? What legal grounds apply in such a situation?Thanks.
