Can legal action be taken against youtube comments?

Hi,

So I have been commenting unproven claims against a public personality on multiple youtube videos. I fully believe the claims I make this person but without proof. I deleted the comments now and the google and youtube account associated with that account now. How likely legal action is possible against me should that person complaint against me to cybercell or something for defamation?
