January 21, 2025 at 7:20 amQuoting from Amish Aggarwala’s [post](https://www.linkedin.com/posts/amish-aggarwala-45978246_family-court-rules-january-2025-activity-7287349376824340481-n_0Y) –Amendments to Delhi Family Court Rules introduced in January. Every Advocate should go through.
Major important points:
1. Confidentiality of sensitive documents.
2. Confidentiality of parties in causelists and ordersheets.
3. Now all husbands and wives will have to file income affidavit along with Restitution, Annulment and Divorce cases. The last point has a lot of potential for abuse. This has become an even bigger reason for husbands to not file for RCR/Divorce.

January 21, 2025 at 7:31 amAny alimony or settlement is based on the economic status. When the question of alimony comes up then the income level is a valid question to reach a judgement. How is it abuse of process unless you want to lie about your income level ? Is a lawyer advising a client to lie about material facts ? If not then the affidavit is just a paper containing answers to questions whose truthful answers will lead to the same results.-

January 21, 2025 at 7:43 amYeah i was confused too. Don’t you anyway have to submit the said documents when the court has to decide on alimony/maintenance.Maybe the author of the post means that if you give the said documents while filling for rcr or divorce, the decision for interim amount would be done immediately and the husband may not get to put his side of argument before the said decision is made by the court?
