April 25, 2025 at 2:57 amA friend of mine has received an from from gulf company who r offering him more than 2x of his current salary. But the thing is he already working in a company (X) where he signed a bond of 1 year. If he happens to leave the company within the stipulated they demands him to pay all the sum spent by the company on him. I want to know can they sue my friend if he leaves the company and doesn’t pay the sum? And the notice period is of two months on X so what happens if he leaves the company before the stipulated time? We are really confused, any advice is highly appreciated. -

April 25, 2025 at 1:13 pmdon’t follow this jackass advice. If a company takes a legal route, it can create issues in background verification. might even lose the gulf job.-

April 25, 2025 at 4:49 amIf there is a bond then he will have to pay certain amount towards it. If he plans to use that companies experience in the new company then its imp to leave in a proper way or else it can be a hinderance later. Try talking to the company and ask then what he has to pay if has to quit eariler if its reasonable then just pay off.
Is the old company in Gulf itself or a diff country -

April 25, 2025 at 5:47 amBreaking bonds has repercussions. If the company can prove exoense done in training, or prove damage to reputation or loosing customers because of you breaking a bond – you are liable to pay the company in a court of law.
