SSome people from my school prank called a random property dealer saying that they are gonna siege his land it was a total prank call done by teenagers
Today one of my friend called me saying he got a phone from SHO of the area saying that he need to come to police station or they are gonna file FIR against him they just know his name and number nothing else
What will happen after this? or they are doing this to scare us off -

DIf I were you, I’d go to the station and apologise. Say it was a mistake and it won’t happen again. They’ll give you a bit of a scolding but it won’t be escalated. I wouldn’t risk an FIR being filed. They have too much information to just let it go. Next thing you know is that you’re applying for a passport or applying to go abroad and this thing shows up. Nah man, I wouldn’t risk it,

EI believe nothing much will happen if you or your friend go to the station. They will give you and your parents a good solid class on how to behave and not to repeat such offences in future. Probably a letter from the guy stating that he wont repeat such pranks again. Until you show up and not abscond, they don’t file an FIR and just a do with warning. Better go, accept the mistake and face the music.

EDepends on the police and the opponent party. If the other guy forces police to file FIR because you don’t show up, then more trouble. If you show up, police will try to solve the issue at station between both parties without further trouble.

SHe just called for 1 min and hung up my friends say that it’s not possible for them to file FIR it’s probably just complain

EYes thats probably the case but if the opponent party want to purse further, then they will call you again. If not responding then they will be forced to file an FIR. Not a bad idea to wait for another call and pray that it never comes 🙂

MYou can avoid going as this is not a serious issue.
If you’re planning to go they’ll ask you to write apology letter and undertaking that this was done as a prank and won’t be repeated.
No FIR is gonna file (whether you go or not) -

N(NAL) What kind of stupid people are you this isn’t some prank, ? Dumb people play stupid games and win stupid prizes I hope that SHO trashes you and your friends for this prank, and then say this is a prank after thrashing you, Prank are those where it doesn’t hurt both the parties neither mentally not physically
