Can you start recording legally if police harrases you?

I saw a post where a guy was sittng withbhis friend (a girl) in his car in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. A police car came around midnight and asked them what are they doing here to which they replied tey were was sitting and talking and they began checking all the bags and the car. He ofcourse didn’t find anything and then asked them where they lived. The girl stays in a pg and the guy told the police about it and he lost it. He started saying things like “muje pata hai kaisi hoti hai ye pg ki ladkiya” and more and asked them to call their pg warden and girl’s mother. There’s no in time out time for their pg. So it’s not like they were breaking any rules there though that doesn’t matter. Fortunately the warden is good and supported her saying she is a good girl and the mother already knows about her relationship with the guy so police couldn’t do anything. The policemam started harrasing the warden saying “aisi sab ladkiyo ko rakha hai tera pg band karwa dunga mai”

My question is what can one do in this situation? Can they start recording for proof, is this legally allowed? Because government has a helpline to complaint against misconduct by a cop but one def needs a proof if you decide to take this to court right?

Yes you can start videotaping the conversation/interaction with not just police but any civil servant, police in India can simply decide to beat you up because they did not like the way you stand on footpath and there’s near to zero consequences they face if you complain. Its wrong, but police have been hardwired to act like this because an avg indian is a retard who doesnt understand verbal communication, only understands dandaraj, so even innocent learned indians sometimes get a burnt in that process. We have a really long way to go.

generally these police are looking for some sexual release. if possible record them coercing you into forced sex. only that will work against these people.

if you record and follow up, other police will start harassing you.

Happened with one of my known. She and her bf were talking in car and legit talking. Some asshole came to extort money by saying call at home and let me talk to your parents that what you guys are doing. He started of with 20k as it was a BMW and they were trying to bargain but he was not coming down. With no option left, she fake dailed 1091 and told them that this police officer is trying to put his hands on her and beat her friend who was with her.Hearing this the asshole was no where seen.
