May 1, 2025 at 7:46 pmi studied till 10th in one branch of my school and 11th 12th in other branch of my schooli passed 10th from cbse in 23 i had my marksheet with the name of my mother which is different than her name in her documents and i applied for correction to my school they were very lazy they did not initiated the process on time and after a year they said that they have not got any response from cbse .. one admin in schol told me about a special portal of cbse and told that if he had initiated there correction request must have had approved but he may not used that i guess ..
Now fast forward i am going to get pass 12th cbse in 25 and i just carried on the incorrect name of my mother for 12th marksheet as the Admin of my school told me that it won’t create a problem , i should get an affidavit .
BUT I WORRY TO THE BOTTOM IF IT DO CREATE A PROBLEM LIKE IN PASSPORT AND IN COLLEGE .
SHOULD I FILL MY CORRECT MOTHER’S NAME OR CARRY ON THAT
I JUST WANT TO GET THE MARKSHEET CORRECTED BUT NOT I HAVE TO GET BOTH 10 TH AND 12 TH MARKSHEET CORRECTED .
GUIDE ME
I AM FROM AGRA

May 1, 2025 at 7:59 pmI understand your concern about having consistent documents. Here are steps you can take to resolve this:1. **Affidavit**: Prepare an affidavit stating the discrepancy in your motherβs name between her documents and your marksheets. This temporarily helps in cases like passport issuance.
2. **CBSE Regional Office**: Visit the CBSE Regional Office in Allahabad (serving Agra region) with your 10th and 12th marksheets, your mother’s proof of identity, and the affidavit. Request a correction in both marksheets.
3. **Correction Application**: Fill out the correction form available on the CBSE website or at the regional office. It may involve a fee, so be prepared to pay it.
4. **Follow-up**: Regularly follow up with both your school and the CBSE office to ensure your application is processed. Keep a record of all communications.
5. **Seek Legal Help**: If there’s delayed action, consult a local lawyer who specializes in educational law for assistance with CBSE guidelines.
Check Section 13 of the Pass Certificate Rules by CBSE for correction guidelines. Good luck!
