FHi everyone,
I received a challan under the Motor Vehicles Act (Section 129/194D – not wearing a helmet, Rs. 1000 fine). On the Parivahan website, it initially showed that the case was transferred to the Virtual Court.
But when I checked vcourts.gov.in, I found that it was transferred to the regular court — specifically the Chief Judicial Magistrate Court, Kozhikode, Kerala. The first hearing date was listed as today (02-05-2025), but I didn’t receive any kind of notification or intimation about it.
This was quite unexpected for a minor traffic offence.
Has anyone faced a similar situation?
Is it common for such cases to be moved to regular court?
What should I do now since I missed the first hearing unknowingly?
Is there any way to resolve this online or request to move it back to virtual court?
Would really appreciate any advice or insights. Thanks in advance!
