Uin pune i wanted to buy a land from mahadev dham realty as their office just opened near mine, i just gave them 1 lakh advance and then i hired an advocate for further dealing so i paid 21 lakh on different occasions till actual date i.e (22 december 2025 )of purchase but on the date they said there’s some issue so we will have to wait so they gave us 9 lakh cheque back further they kept pushing date of purchase for weeks , months so frustrated we asked them to return our money so they gave back 5 lakh in february 2026 and for security of remaining 7 lakh they handed us cheques dated 1 month later as they said they invested all money in project and don’t have any , we put those cheques in banks on 28 march 2026 ( 3 cheques from 3 different partners total 6 lakh ) but all cheques bounced, they gave us counter offer to give another land but we had lost faith in them so didn’t want to deal with them further so sent them notices of 15 days for bounced cheques to which they didn’t reply, we were doing everything after first 1 lakh booking amount as per our lawyer instructions but still these people are confidently treating us like this not picking calls giving random excuses often threatening that we will loose our money. now my question is what mistakes we made? what can we do now? and how come these people have so much audacity what is there insurance based on which they treat consumers like this? kindly help we have already lost 50000₹ to lawyers.
