Refraining from mentioning details off the bad for privacy reasons however feel free to ask any questions. Alright so my question is how do the laws work for interfaith couples, especially since the Muslim personal law contradicts the Hindu laws in many areas. Or does this go under the SMA even when the couple aren’t married?

Does the typical laws of child support and maintenance apply? Also how would the inheritance laws play out depending on the gender of the child, given that under muslim law daughters aren’t considered on a equal footing as sons?

If an interfaith unmarried couple, then Secular laws apply for Child Support, maintenance, inheritance, etc.

Muslim personal law applicable for Muslim couple.
