May 4, 2025 at 6:03 pmYesterday I bought shoes from Skechers of rs 5400 for my dad but due to fitting issues I went again today with my dad to exchange the shoe.
As the size was not fitting properly we opted for a different shoe of amount rs 5000.
As we were billing the cashier said you have to but something of rs 400 and was forcing us to buy socks or other stuff , when we asked for the remainder of amount he said it was a store policy and he couldn’t much , when I said that okay just give me refund of the shoes he denied, so we’d to buy socks.
Same thing happened at Peter England showroom when we went to get a + size of a tshirt, there also the remainder was of 300 rs and he said we have to buy the stuff of exact amount, even the socks were of 289 but he denied billing as the amount has to be exact so we have to buy 2 extra pair of socks plus had to give him more money (289+289)for billing.Isn’t this blatant harrasment of the consumer?

May 4, 2025 at 6:23 pmYou could have returned the product and asked to be refunded in that case. Also, it could feel like harassment but check the store policy generally the workers cannot do much, better talk to Manager there.-

Honestly let people beware about this practice and thereโs no such store policy the e big corporations are after money. I bought from Bata and never faced any issues like these. Next time it happens where the policy is written ? Give me proof of the same and if they donโt agree just simply yell I have been regular customer and wonโt purchase from you again.-

May 4, 2025 at 6:31 pmI get that but the billing date was just a day old , also online it is mentioned of 10 days but I guess that is for online orders. -

May 4, 2025 at 6:36 pmI have checked the return policy and it mentions, nothing of that sort. If issues are genuine why companies are resolving to these tactics ? Isnโt it unfair to put all the requests in the same bracket.
