May 3, 2025 at 3:00 amI belong from a lower middle class family. We stay ina tier 2 city. Recently in Feb’24 i bought smartphone from my friend which he had bough 3-4 months back and he was selling it for 50% of it’s price, as it was still under warranty i bought it as my mother had to get a new phone.The friend had bought the phone online and also bought a Extended warrantt along with it. Now on March 2025, suddenly while my mother was talking on the phone, the phone’s display filled with green line entirely. As it had the extended warranty i contacted the company through which the warranty was issued. They assured to pickup the device in 10 days. Meanwhile i ahd some product ordered online lying in home for return.
As per the mail from the company, they said that a courier person will come and check the device and pick it up and hand over me a AWB copy as an acknowledgement. After 2 days(31stMarch) a courier person arrives and says ” Sir parcel return hai.” , i ask him “kya return hai?”, he replies”sir return hai saman pata nahi”. Mind you i had the product lying at home for return(on app it showed that the courier person will pick up on 31stMarch ), so i thought that it is return for the item i ordered theough online and handed it to him, to which he just took it and went.
2 days later, the Company calls me and says ” Sir aapne to galat product send kia hai”. To which i said ” Nor the courier person communicated woth me neither he handed over me an AWB copy for acknowledgement”, so how may i know that this person is the same person for the phone pick-up.
I asked the company to return me the product and pick-up my actual smartphone. They replied that once i receive my product then they will pick up my actual smartphone.Then 10 days later the peoduct arrived snd since then they are delaying the pickup of my smartphone and not letting me register a warranty claim on their website also. There have been close to 25 mail interactions with them, hey always reply that sir your issue is transfered to the concerened team and i will receive a reply within 2 days and i mail them again and this cycle is going on continuously.
Please Help me regaeding this. What should i do, i don’t have enough money to replace the screen in Sevice centre, it costs โน8000.Please help me what should i do further? Should i complain in Consumer court or what? Please Help.
