First I will say approach them and kindly explained to them that they have no right to money in your father’s property. Also, remind them that your father did pay for their wedding and dowry, if this goes out of hand or you do not want to do it. Then kindly File and FIR against them that they a r harassing your father for money.

They might have right in ancestral property but if the home you are living is acquired by your father through his income then they have no right. In Hindu law, there’s no right of the woman in his brother’s property, only her parents.

Also, I am saying this through my legal knowledge and not practising as of now. So is possible kindly appoint an advocate as soon as possible or research for the same.

First of all thank you for your guidance…
The house in which we are living is also an ancestral property belongs to our family from 40 to 50 yrs..

I know we can’t win…so is there any chance we can stretch this case to 10-15 yrs..

I will not suggest you to sell that property as it has been in your family since so many years. I think most it can stretched to 5-10 years but you can win with good lawyers, you can. (I am not giving you false hope or anything by saying this.)

Have your aunties have gone to court ?
If not, then they are simply trying to extort more money from your father cause their husbands not giving them any money.

If Yes, then go search on net about good lawyers dealing in property matters and do that as they say.
Property matters can be tricky so rather than searching on your own, it is important to hire advocate for the same.
