April 1, 2025 at 12:51 pmOriginally wanted to post this on r/india but whenever I’d try it said the mods took it down.As the title mentions, I had registered a complaint against LG india and was tracking it only to find out that there were no records of it in their database and while attempting to log in it said that there was no account registered with my mobile number when I clearly had registered an account and grievance and have the proof to back it up.
Here are the screenshots to support my claims :

“I had registered a grievance against LG because of their extremely bad services and harassment regarding my monitor replacement, details of which I will attach below. I was tracking it and when I checked again two days ago I saw that it said that the grievance doesn’t exist in the database, and when i tried to log in it said my account doesn’t exist on this mobile number. I am forwarding a mail I had received for my registered grievance along with proof of the messages received. I have screenhots, call recordings and everything necessary to process my complaint against LG.
Because of such actions I can only suspect that LG India somehow got action taken against my account because I was requesting compensation, otherwise my ENTIRE account being deleted off the GOVERNMENT consumer helpline does NOT make sense. If only the complaint was not available it could still be marked off as an error but my entire account was wiped which is very very suspicious.”
I have got proof of everything in screenshots, I have proof of conversations with employees on record in audio files as well. I had mentioned this matter of my account getting deleted on twitter tagging consumer affairs and lg india but it seems only lg india escalated the matter. I had registered the complaint on the 20th and it was not there by the 25th. I’ll provide my complaint and entire story below and explain what is happening right now :
I had bought an LG 27 inch 27GR93U monitor from amazon on the 11th of january and it had arrived on the 12th, by the 14th i had noticed some defected pixels showing up on the screen and in fear of it getting worse or spreading or anything happening i had immediately filed a complaint on the 15th to LG regarding the product, i had talked to amazon on the 14th and was assured that since the product fell under 7 day service center replacement i would be getting a completely new monitor. Upon talking to LG they first assigned me an engineer that was not in new delhi, after the other engineer got assigned the engineer came over, had a look at my monitor, took pictures and agreed that there was a defect. He said they dont offer 7 day service center replacement however when i showed the amazon page details and my recorded calls with customer support he called his superiors and confirmed that they can do a replacement. After that my issue was put on hold as they said they’d have to escalate the issue. The engineer then again came on the 31st of january saying that the company wants pictures from the inside of the monitor as well and opened it up.
On the 4th of february i had been connected to an employee named Sushant who the engineer said would be handling my case, sushant cleverly asked me for an OTP saying my replacement has been proceeded and a DRP number which is required has been generated, and said theyll have to cancel it saying theyll have a new case number generated as they cant be issuing 2 numbers to one one mobile number as the case has been forwarded to the management and that in the coming week my matter will be resolved. This was a complete lie as it is now the 20th of march that I’m writing this complaint. I have made several calls and was promised it will take 1 week every time for my replacement. Then , i was told that they somehow do not have the model with the same specifications in the entirety of india and that they can only offer me a lower model, not only did they say that but they also did not know that my monitor had a higher resolution and they were offering a lower resolution one, they said the other model is too expensive and that they cannot offer that. After that the issue escalated even more and on the 19th feb they said they will refund me and that i will get a refund within 15 days, sushant asked me for my cancel cheque and aadhar which i had forwarded. In between the 4th and 19th i was told that somehow my claim had been rejected and put forward again, i was also offered a display fix/just the display replacement which i rejected because i do not want a product like that and i was well under my rights within the 7 day replacement as well. Afterwards when ever I’d get time i would call sushant but everytime he would not know who i am and then say yes we have proceeded your matter. On 6th march i called and i was informed that noe the product is magically and that earlier it was in transit, that the date was for the 4th but it will by come by April end. I then asked why my cancel cheque and aadhar wete asked for if there wasnt a refund but sushant said that the product will now somehow be available later on. I asked him to give me confirmation then he said it will be confirmed within a week but it was not. Then on 10th of march i was called from sushant’s number by an employee called himanshu who i assume is his superior, i was told that the same model in replacement will NOT be possible and that since i dont want the alternative model (which was a wqhd model 32in for 35k whereas mine is a 27inch UHD/4K model for 48.5k, as if me not wanting an inferior model was my fault) that the only possible solution would be replacing the display and was told the unit will be fine after that after 3 MONTHS of such back and forth. I told them i do NOT want a monitor with a replaced display when i paid for a new monitor and was applicable to 7 day service center replacement. I am now lodging an official complaint because it has now been more than 3 months. I am looking to atleast get the exact amount of my monitor in compensation if i can not get the monitor replaced and provided the exact price of my monitor. My work of 3 months was greatly hindered as i was in worry if my monitor would suddenly stop working or if i had to come back early from trips or outings in expectations of the replacement/refund. I had provided my aadhar and cancel cheque details for essentially no reason which i also believe is a breach of privacy. I have all the call recordings and receipts, i also have chat screenshots and photos of the LG engineer’s physical visit and can provide them if needed.
THIS was the entire complaint I had up on the grievance portal on the 20th of march. Since then I was finally contacted for replacement saying they have the monitor now and that it will be replaced today as I am typing this post but I do not want it to be a simple replacement done , everything’s over matter. I want more. Why the hell did they have to stretch this out so much? 3 months? In that they even took my cancel cheque and Aadhar, atleast with a refund I would’ve gotten a better monitor after saving from some other company. And seriously, my account getting deleted off a government website? is that how deep corruption goes? did they pay off an employee to get my complaint off the site? I want nothing less than compensation but honestly I do not know what to do art this point. Please elucidate. Also, if for some reason this account deletion was not on purpose like in the 1% chance of that being true I apologise but the current title is the best way to bring attention to this incident. As for why I did not just register another grievance is because if I make another account on this number , they might chalk the previous complaint to never being there or something.

April 1, 2025 at 1:32 pmHi, this post IS a rant but the complaint I had registered on the consumer affairs platform was properly submitted. The problem is that the majority of my evidence are call recordings which I could not upload to the portal, on top of that there is a limit of 3 supporting images (which are restricted to being product related, hence I could not attach conversation proofs or call recording transcripts either) because of which not only did I have to convert screenshot proofs into details , I had to go through my entire call history since January and listen to the recordings one by one in order to jot down what happened and what they had said as accurately as possible. This was my 4th try posting this on some subReddit , I did not have the time to re-write everything so I’ve just copy pasted some stuff while adding the newer details here and there. -

*TLDR: I’m really frustrated with LG Electronics India (LGEIL) over my microwave. I bought their 42 Ltr Smart Inverter Solo Microwave Oven, and within just five years, it started rusting and malfunctioning. I had an Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) in place, so I thought I was covered. But when I reached out for a repair, LG refused, saying the parts were unavailable and that the product was discontinued.*
*This situation feels so unfair. I paid for the AMC, and they should honor the warranty. Instead, they offered me just 20% compensation for depreciation without any clear explanation of how they calculated it. The whole process has been nothing but delays, and I’m still stuck with a broken microwave. All I’m asking for is a replacement or fair compensation, and I want LG to be transparent about their depreciation policy.*

April 23, 2025 at 5:02 amYou’ve got a few legal options, but yeah, you’ll need to be persistent.First, you can take it to the Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum or even the District Consumer Commission. If the service was denied without a valid reason, that could be seen as a deficiency, and you might be able to claim compensation.
If your personal info was mishandled, that’s serious too. It could be a violation under the Information Technology Rules, 2011. You can definitely file a complaint for that.
Also, if your complaint on the grievance portal was ignored or deleted, report it directly to the Ministry of Consumer Affairs. Share all your proof. It might not have been a simple glitch, and raising it can help make things more transparent.
Lastly, if there’s been a delay or your privacy’s been breached, you can ask for compensation for that too. Use whatever evidence you’ve got. Recordings, chats, photos, it all helps make your case stronger.
