My friend court case is running in a Y district and the judge was asking to get sureties from local place (Y). They are from X district around 300 kms far from Y. They have submitted sureties earlier from their X district but judge is asking to submit from the Y district where the accident happened. Lawyer said the court case will be continuing untill sureties submitted by Y district else my friend have to compromise itseems. The appointed lawyer is from Y district where is accident happened and not from X district hence they are suffering alot since 6 months.

Please guide on this so that it will be helpful for my friend.

Thank you to all of them who shared messages personally.

Got a few messages stating it’s mandatory for my friend to submit the sureties check deposit from locals (10k each from 2 members). But not sure how are people from other states going through this type of situation!
