I am a medical student.
Our hostel has a mess.
I know coding.I am planning to build an app to track the monthly mess bills of all the students.
App only tracks if the bill is paid or not.If not paid, it shows the student a link to pay the bill through a Razorpay gateway connected to Mess bank account.
I am not involved in any transaction as such. I am hoping to develop this app as a passion for problem solving.
What legal advice do I need in here?
Like currently there are transactions totalling to 2Cr every year. -
HYou are free to develop any app as long as it does not infringe on anyone’s intellectual property rights.
However, getting the mess or college authorities to adopt and use the app is a separate challenge. Once the mess accepts the app, they may need to obtain specific permissions or approvals from the relevant authorities to enable online payments.
Additionally, to address privacy and data protection concerns, it is essential to obtain users’ consent before collecting or processing their data.
