April 6, 2025 at 3:25 pmLawyers here, please tell me whether the accused is given a chance to speak in the courtrooms. Will the people in the court hear from the accussed?
Or only the accussed’s lawyer will speak for the accussed? I really want to know this as the i found out no chance has given to the accussed to speak. If accused can speak , how should he initiate/request the speech in the courtroom.

April 6, 2025 at 5:41 pmThe trial follows a process, and the Accused can address the court either at the stage of evidence (if statement is recorded), but generally it can be done only at the stage of final hearing.
You cannot address the court otherwise, also if you have hired a lawyer then it is generally advised to let the lawyer present your case.-
