Documents required to update Aadhaar

Is Gazzetta only option for Aadhaar name correction if someone is 18+. Local Aadhaar update center is saying I have to do Gazzetta but in official notice they stated Board Certificate can be used (didn’t mentioned age). I only have one letter missing in my surname.
