I joined this organization in June 2025.
I put down my resignation on 25th Feb 2026 and sererved my 30 days notice period and my last working day was 26th March 2026. I did not get my salary for February and March 2026 as it would be included in the FnF. My February salary was put on hold when I put down my resignation and its showing on their portal as 0 so the salary slip for that month is not generated.

They are saying that as my salary in their portal is showing 0 they can not process my PF for that month as it would become an issue in audit. Thus, they are giving me the PF amount in FnF under the title “Salary Arrears” which also includes my entire salary of February (although not explicitly specified, but stated on email).

On my PF account, I checked, PF of all the months are there except Feb 2026. Even march 2026 PF has ben deposited.

After several emails back and forth, they called me to resolve the issue and were basically trying to make me understand that this is the standard procedure and it would not create issues in next organization I join. But I have heard that discrepencies like these in PF account cause issues in BG verification. And also this isn’t correct, right?

I feel they are trying to make a fool out of me and I am being wronged somewhere.

        1. Is it a common practise of PF not being deposited of the month when an employee resigns?
        2. Will a month gap in PF account create issue in BG verification in MNCs? ( I have less than 2 years of experience)
        3. Can I insist on getting the PF in my account like it should have ideally? Or should I just accept what they are saying?

this kind of thing becomes stressful because once salary and pf stop matching month wise it naturally makes people worry about future verification and records the part that usually matters here is how the company has actually reflected your employment internally because if february is showing as zero while you were clearly employed that creates confusion beyond just pf contribution also the fact that march pf is deposited but february is skipped makes it feel less like a normal exit delay and more like an internal adjustment on their side have they given you any written breakdown in the fnf showing exactly what amount is being treated as salary arrears versus pf related payment or is it still being explained mostly through calls and emails
