Does female heir have right towards great grandfather’s (Paternal) property ( commercial property )that great grandfather had bought several years ago) ?
My Father inherited his share of that property (his grandfather’s commercial property ) which was recently sold . My grandfather has already passed and so has my grandmother . So the amount was divided amongst my father and his brother but sister( my aunt ) didn’t get a share as our lawyer said my aunt only has rights towards the family house no rights in commercial properties!
My father has not given us ( my brother and me) our share yet . Someday we would may be get it or he might just keep that money for himself.
My question is in this case do I have any legal rights towards that inheritance or is it just my brother who can legally claim it ?

Absolutely not, your Aunt has equal rights on all properties according to Hindu Succession act 1956.
