        Hi all,
        I had booked a flat. Unfortunately, the seller turns out to be a lunatic. After taking the token, he started dictating his terms. I accommodated most of his conditions. But now he is forcing for registration before his said date or he wonโ€™t refund anything. The problem is I had clearly mentioned I wonโ€™t proceed with registration till I have the house vacant. His initial problem was I am a woman who is buying the house. Then he started dictating his terms, yelling on calls and expecting me to adjust according to him. Now he is asking me to adjust with the tenant. Why should I do it????

        How to proceed further??? With the experience I have had, I donโ€™t wanna proceed further fearing there would be more to it.

        I liked the flat. But he started throwing tantrums and misbehaving apparently bcz as a woman I should be hiding behind a man! Thatโ€™s exactly what he said! Infact I shut him up one day when he was continuously yelling at me.

        He started an email chain, now when I responded he had problem with it and told my brother โ€œyou know how your sister isโ€ just because I told the legal facts that buying and selling is business and nobody should behave unprofessionally

        Yes I am hiding few details here owing to identity to be hidden. But the above mentioned are quite true.

        Please suggest!!

            I think you need to approach local police station and file a case against the builder also complaint to RERA or society secretory or management incharge MD or CEO or ED

              I am not buying the flat from builder, itโ€™s a a resale property

                        No. Just receipt of payment whatever has been made so far. The registration was due today

                          If the token money is taken, the court will grant you relief. Ask for a penalty. A good advocate will make sure you’ll not need to go anywhere.

                            Token given through bank transfer? If you then hire a lawyer and everything will be sorted.

                                Yes through bank transfer. I have a stamp on payment receipt too

                                    Yeah then it should be easy. Try to co-operate (iykyk) with the cops from the beginning since they’ll be the ones who will have to enforce court order which they have the power to delay.

                                  I guess the gorilla in the room is the tenant. The Tenant is refusing to vacate the property. This is giving the seller headaches and he is behaving rashly.
