I ordered an air conditioner from Flipkart. As per their process, installation is supposed to be done within 24–48 hours after delivery.
However, it has now been 15 days since delivery, and the installation has still not been completed. I raised multiple requests and followed up, but there has been no resolution so far.
Because of the delay and the urgency (summer heat), I had to purchase and install another AC separately from Amazon / LG Electronics showroom.
The Flipkart AC is still unused and not installed.
Now I want to:
– Return the product and get a full refund
– Or understand if I have a valid legal case for “deficiency in service”
My concerns:
1. The return window might have expired due to their delay in installation
2. Flipkart might refuse return saying the product is delivered and okay
3. Whether this qualifies as a case under consumer protection laws
Has anyone faced something similar?
Can I legally demand a refund in this situation?
Should I go to consumer court or use online grievance portals?
Any guidance would be really helpful.
