April 10, 2025 at 6:33 amI purchased a laptop from Flipkart with a 2-year Complete Laptop Protection Plan (Jeeves)in October 2023. In Nov 2024, the laptop had a screen blackout issue. Jeeves ( subsidiary of flipkart that deals with customer service)inspected it and declared it irreparable, offering a refund after 40% depreciation, which I accepted in Jan 2025.I submitted my bank details and, later, a passbook image as they asked. But for months, nothing happenedโjust delays, excuses, and repeated follow-ups from my side.
I finally filed a complaint via the National Consumer Forum, and only then did they start collecting documents again. Despite that, I still hadnโt received the refund.
Yesterday, a Flipkart executive called and claimed that Jeeves closed my complaint because I didnโt respond to their calls, which is completely untrue. I have proof of multiple emails, submitted documents, and even call logs. They also told that I collected my laptop from the service centre. Which is also a blatant lie. I made the service centre to alert Jeeves about this which they did. Now they’re asking me to take the laptop back.
Iโve lost over 3 months of productive work, dealt with mental stress, and been lied to.
What are the possibile actions I can take?
Are online legal platforms reliable? ( Online legal india felt like a scam outright and vakil search connected me to a lawyer but I wasn’t fully convinced.
Is there any scope to get refund/compensation.
Any guidance would be appreciated. Thanks!
Tldr: flipkart and it’s subsidiary Jeeves have failed to repair my laptop under warranty, not given refund they offered and now after so much delay they are saying I took the laptop and refused the refund. I have proof to counter all these.
