UMy grandmother gifted my dad half acre land in 1986 through gift deed. My dad passed away in 2012 and we lost the deed as well. We as legal heirs of my father want to transfer the property to my mother’s name. As we lost the original deed what other documents do we need to register the property in my mother’s name and also will my grandmother have any claim to it?

ATry to get the copies from registrars office or check land records to ascertain the land was transfered or not.
