Godrej AC installation goons demanded money for free installation

I purchased a new Godrej ACfrom a local electronics on 22 april, 2026. The showroom had informed me for Zero Installation charges. Installation guys visited and installed the AC with a stand for the outdoor unit. After that, in addition to the charges for the stand (Almost 1600rs), which is justified, they demanded extra 2400rs, for service charge despite me being mentioning about free installation. It had already become late night, and I avoided arguing with the installation guys, as I was concerned about my own safety and they were not at all behaving professionally. I thus gave up and fulfilled their demand by paying total of 4000rs installation fee, which was supposed to be NIL as per company policy.
What legal steps can I take to escalate this issue? Should I complain in Consumer court? What’s the process for this? Please help.
