May 3, 2026 at 2:17 pmI recently purchased a new **Samsung S90F OLED TV** from **Electronics Mart India**.-Delivered: Tuesday evening
-Installed same day by Samsung technician
-I didn’t check usage hours during installationYesterday (Saturday), I checked via Samsung SmartThings app and it shows **424 hours of usage (17.6 Days)**.
It’s obviously not possible for me to rack up that much usage in a few days, so this looks like a **used/display unit sold as new**.
I contacted **Samsung India**, and they told me to reach out to the retailer.
Retailer says they only sell new products and that I shouldn’t worry since the TV is working fine and under warranty.I’ve already emailed their customer support asking for replacement/refund.
**Questions:**
-Does this qualify as unfair trade practice legally?
-Should I go ahead and file a complaint on consumer forum immediately?Has anyone faced something similar with electronics retailers?
Any advice would really help. I have screenshots of the usage hours as proof.
