Got called for a hearing for a traffic violation but the vehicle in the picture is not mine.

Hello, I received a Challan but upon closer inspection the photo attached was of a different vehicle with a different number say 3438 instead of 3434. I was not in the country at the time of the said offence, and when I received the notice I went to the respected police station and gave out a petition to which they said the matter will be taken care of. But I received a message stating that my case has been taken to the chief judicial magistrate, I received the message on Friday and I unfortunately missed the hearing. What are my options, please advise.

Copy of your passport showimg entry and exit stamp in indian immigration, RC copy of your vehicle showing vehicle number. Take these two docs and present yourself on hearing date ..NO other way. If you want you can ask an advocate to represent you for a fee
