April 20, 2025 at 6:53 amHey everyone, I was returning home at night when a guy suddenly started crossing the road and when I stopped he stopped and again sped up when I accelerated. He got hit by my car and I immediately rushed him to the hospital where I paid the bills for tests and met with the doctors who said this will be a police case. I gave them my phone number and address and left from there. The hospital called me after sometime asking me to come back to the hospital but I asked them to communicate the issue on call. They asked me to pay the amount for icu which I did.
Later at night I received a phone call from police regarding the case where they asked where the incident happen and my details. Now the area was not lit and I don’t think there was any cctv camera nor I have a dash cam. What should I do to protect myself from here on?Also implications if he dies in hospital after a week or few days after?Note:- He was responding to nurses and the hospital seem to be way to casual about this.

April 20, 2025 at 10:41 amThis sounds serious bro—**consult a criminal lawyer ASAP.**
Even if the guy was drunk, without CCTV or witnesses, it can get tricky—especially if anything happens to him later.
Keep records of everything: bills, calls, receipts, and stay cooperative with the police. Don’t ignore this thinking it’ll blow over. -

April 22, 2025 at 12:07 pmYou stopped but accelerated so fast that almost killed the pedestrian?Doesn’t that particular cumstances dictate you to be cautious/slow ?

April 22, 2025 at 12:55 pmYes, I did get my speed slow, but he kind of jumped on my car .. I have no proof, but he sure was deliberately trying to get hit.
