February 17, 2025 at 4:25 amI joined an company thinking it would be a great opportunity to gain experience. They promised to pay me, but after working 6-7 hours daily—sometimes late at night and even extra on Sundays—they haven’t paid me a single penny.I kept following up, but they either ignored me or made excuses. Now, I’m frustrated and unsure what to do. Has anyone else faced this? How did you handle it? Should I expose them publicly or take legal action?

February 17, 2025 at 4:40 amDo not expose them publicly or take any drastic step. Work smartly. Say you have exams coming up and wosh to leave to internship to devote time to studies.Raise request with hr that you wish to stop this internship and request them to provide you with stipend.
See, even if they don’t pay you and make excuse like complete internship tenure or provide notice period, don’t get scared as you’re an intern and they won’t face any loss of sorts as they didn’t give you work with confidential info. If you haven’t signed an NDA, feel free to just walk out and never go back in.
Don’t ever take a stand against a company on a public platform or threaten company with legal action they have far more resources and legal teams who handle such cases it’ll only create a bigger mess.
If you haven’t signed any NDA, Non compete clause or notice period notification, just request hr to imburse the stipend and then leave with a nice email.
Don’t get into trouble unnecessarily. All the best.
