May 7, 2025 at 7:49 pmI recently purchased a Xiaomi power bank from their store. I was initially told the price was โน1699, but when I paid, they charged โน1799 without any prior notice. I had specifically asked for the latest I4 model, but they gave me an older version. The packaging was already opened, the original seal was missing, and the product seemed used. To make things worse, the power bank doesn’t support Type-C to Type-C charging, which the seller never informed me aboutโdespite me clearly mentioning my usage needs. When I went back to the store, the seller rudely refused to accept any return or offer a solution. I feel completely cheated. What legal options do I have in India to report this kind of consumer fraud? Can I take this to consumer court, and if so, whatโs the process? Any advice would be appreciated. -

May 7, 2025 at 10:37 pmClearly mentioned you went to offline store.
Couldn’t you see seal was broken when purchasing product?
Couldn’t realise when 1799 charged to gpay/cash/ card when making payment?Your argument will not hold in consumer court. Will be labeled as fraud. You cannot say you were incapacitated or of unsound mind during purchase.
No point brining emotions here and wishing bad on me. We all make silly mistakes, especially when we have too much money to burn.

May 7, 2025 at 10:44 pmI wasn’t suspicious, because it was a xiaomi store, and abt me seeing it, he took the box under the counter to open it, when I went home and checked it then I saw that it wasn’t a the original. About the price he said himself that he mistaken about it, and bill has been generated so he can’t reverse now, no matter if I seen the label, the fact that it wasn’t original label is enough in its self
