Got threatened by a police officer for helmet

I’m in Hyderabad, Telangana. Got stopped by police near a market for not wearing a helmet (my fault I agree). As usual i thought they’d click my picture and challan me. But the police guy said that “we are not traffic police, we are regular police, this no helmet thing does not come under challan it comes under petty case for us. A case will be booked against you now”. I laughed right in his face and said how can you register a case for a traffic violation after which he got mad Imao. He took a picture of me w my bike, He also took down my name, asked my father’s name and my phone number which I gave vaguely. I argued about how police should be helpful and friendly instead of threatening the citizens but that guy was adamant saying case will happen you will receive a call tomorrow. I know they can’t do shit for a traffic violation but is there any reason I should be concerned?

I am not here to give any advice, but wanted to say that I hate when these kind of officers do these things. They think whatever they speak is law, they think they are law by themselves.

You don’t have to be concerned about anything instead make a complaint if you remember his name
