February 6, 2025 at 6:36 amI need advice on how to **get Hathway Broadband to stop harassing me with spam calls**. I terminated my connection months ago, yet I still get **two calls every single day** asking me to renew. I’ve tried everything, but they just won’t stop.Back in **November 2024**, I was moving out of Bangalore and requested Hathway to **terminate my broadband connection**. I made the request well in advance, but they **never acknowledged it**. My last month in Bangalore, I received calls daily nudging me to renew my plan. I told them that I am not interested and that I’m moving out of Bangalore. I left the router at my old place and moved on, because I had to vacate the place. But starting shortly after, I began getting **daily calls** from different numbers asking me to renew my plan. At first, I politely explained that I had moved and no longer needed their service. That didn’t work. Then I got firm, angry, and even sarcastic, but it **made no difference**—the calls **kept coming, two per day, every single day**.
I have escalated this multiple times over email, contacting their **support, nodal officers, and even CCed the CEO today**. I clearly stated that these calls needed to stop and that if they continued, I would be forced to take legal action. Still, **no response from them, and the calls never stopped**. I even tried **asking the agents on the call to put me on a Do Not Disturb (DND) list**, but every single time I do that, **the call gets abruptly cut off**—almost as if they’ve been instructed to just hang up rather than acknowledge such a request. Blocking numbers is useless because they **keep calling from different ones**. It’s been **over three months**, and this has now gone from annoying to outright **harassment**.
Has anyone else dealt with this? What are my options here? Can I take **legal action for harassment**? Are there any **consumer rights organizations** or **regulatory bodies (like TRAI or consumer courts)** that I can escalate this to? I’ve attached **a PDF of my email escalations and a screen recording of my call logs** showing the spam in the first comment below. If anyone has any advice on how to **permanently put an end to this**, I’d really appreciate it.

February 6, 2025 at 6:51 amI once had similar issue with different broadband service. After I moved away, I closed the connection but they wouldn’t stop calling. I also blocked first couple numbers, told them I don’t live there but it kept coming. I simply reached out to the agent through whom I got the connection and told him the situation. He said he will mail them on my behalf and that worked. -

February 6, 2025 at 11:50 amHow many are you going to keep complaining? These guys are relentless and they call multiple times a day. We had their connection at one of our stores. After we shut down the premises, we didn’t renew the internet package. They started spamming through different numbers for weeks straight. The connection was in my mom’s name and her phone would keep ringing every couple of hours. You can block and complaint as many times as you want it’s pointless.
Thankfully finally got through to some hathway engineer and he asked for details and said he’ll put the number for DND. That stopped it.

February 7, 2025 at 12:07 pmWould be really grateful if you can share the Engg’s email or mobile number. Even mailing the CEO of Hathway seems to be of no use-

February 7, 2025 at 2:08 pmhey, I don’t have the phone number saved since this happened many months ago. I sent an email to their support desk and they replied saying their technical engineer will call and also asked to return the hardware at their office. The person called few days later and I explained to him about and he said he’ll put the number on the DND list and that was it.

February 6, 2025 at 7:59 amKeep blocking the numbers thats the only way, I had hathway connection back in 2012 and keep getting calls for years. Be aware at some point they will try to scam you, where someone from their customer service will call you pretending to be a lawyer ( will tell you that Hathway has lodged a complaint against you, as you haven’t returned the Modem / or for any other reasons, and would ask for money) do not fall into that trap. 🪤 -

February 6, 2025 at 9:14 amA lawyer can send out a legal notice and ask them to cease and desist and if necessary file a complaint with TRAI or with consumer court seeking compensation for mental harrassment-
