UWhen I was sleeping, I was contacted by an unknown number, offering for a credit limit increase. He was impersonating an hdfc bank executive, asking do you have any problems in our Services. I said I want to change the name on the card. Then he said Sure sir I will process that, you receive a new card. For that I need to verify your name on the card. I was so unconscious and I still don’t know how I believed this. Sent my card details, He said I am initiating a limit increase. And asked me for otp. The OTP sms was mentioned as spending of 50k. I suspected that asked him. Why the limit increase should be named as spending. He said sir have you done this already. I said no, he said sir you are confused, the procedure happens like this. This will not reflect in your transaction, after 24 hrs the transaction will disappear and your limit will increase. I know I was so dumb and half sleep at that moment. I couldn’t control my actions. I said the OTP and the amount was spent. Then I googled it about the limit increase. It stated is likely a fraud. By the time I received another OTP for another big amount. I hangup the call and called customer support stating the incident and blocked the card and report to cybercrime. Message stating that the amount was sent to ASSPL. I don’t know what to do next. Please help.
