ULook View Enclave is a society of IT professionals in Kundli, Delhi. The society has just 70
houses and common parking.
2. Parking has been a problem for the members of the society because every household is having
approx. 1-2 cars.
3. Mr Raman M. Sodhi and his family has recently shifted to this society. Mr Raman M. Sodhi
aged 45 years had an argument over parking with one Madhav Mann aged 19, a Second Year B.Sc.
(Medical) Student. The incident started on with a minor scuffle between Mr Raman M. Sodhi and
Madhav Mann. However, with the intervention of neighbours, their fight was resolved.
4. But during the same night, Madhav Mann allegedly in an inebriated state started yelling on the
street at a person. When Mr Raman M. Sodhi objected to it, they again got into a fight. Madhav
Mann was however, accompanied by his 2 friends Maggi and Pinka. Mr Raman M. Sodhi as a
result of beating started bleeding from nose and his shirt was torn off.
5. At around 11:45 pm, a PCR call was made about a quarrel and the Police took both the parties
involved to the police station for investigation, where Madhav Mann alleged that he was beaten
by Mr Raman M. Sodhi, therefore, he needs medical examination. On seeing the gravity of the
wounds on Mr Raman M. Sodhi, the Investigating Officer, ASI Parvin Kumar requested Mr Raman
M. Sodhi to also go for medical examination but he refused.
6. At around 12.30 am Madhav Mann was examined by the Senior Surgeon at Govt Hospital, in
Rohini. Then at around 12.55 am, Madhav Mann reached back to police station after the medical
examination. There were about 5 persons from both sides who were busy in compromise. At 1.30
am, Mr Raman M. Sodhi complained of chest pain and he was given water. The family members
present there took him to nearest hospital. Mr Raman M. Sodhi died 30 minutes later after reaching
hospital at around 2 am.
7. A case under Section 105 of BNS (for culpable homicide not amounting to murder) against
Madhav Mann and his friends has been registered on the complaint of wife of Mr. Y.S Sharma.I have to argue for defense .
