April 6, 2025 at 7:10 pmSo this is in regards to TATA AIG general insurance. Long story short, I purchased the insurance in Dec, 2020 and have been renewing each year and wanted to use it this year for my dad’s surgery. However the insurance company has rejected the claim as well as my policy for non disclosure of a disease which is not true.How am I supposed to know of a disease which was detected after his first surgery. The surgery took after I purchased the policy. At the time of purchase, we weren’t aware if he was to undergo a surgery.
I have consulted an advocate but the TATA AIG is responding with the same automated response. The advocate I consulted informed that to file an online consumer complaint, 25k is the fees which is practically not possible for me as I just renewed my policy in Jan’25
Any leads or advice on this matter will be highly appreciated. Thank you.

Sum insured is 10L
First surgery was done in cash and I didn’t even tried for reimbursement as I had just purchased the insurance 1month ago
