January 13, 2025 at 4:31 pmWe ordered a fridge from amazon, and it came damaged. We wanted a replacement but Amazon guys picked it up and didn’t replace it. Refund was initiated after a lot of hassle.
Thinking maybe this is the seller’s fault, we ordered another one. This time amazon sent a washing machine instead so had to contact them again, reported it to them and they picked it up, then the fridge came, it was used with clear signs of it being used. Contacted the customer care, provided photos and they promised a hand-to-hand replacement(pick up and replacement at the same time), came to pick it up with out any replacement so we denied the pick up as they would have done the same thing again.
Now this all took more than a month, I still don’t have a working fridge. Amazon denies any compensation for the inconvenience caused and on top of that, Iβll have to wait 13 more days from tomorrow(pick-up date) for Amazon guys to take this to their warehouse and then 3-5 business days for them to process the refund and then Iβll be able to order the next one.Can I file a complaint about this in the consumer’s court?

January 13, 2025 at 5:04 pmI don’t think you have any case here when the seller/Amazon was offering you replacement or return. These things take time. I would never weight for replacement if something It get damaged for 2nd time. Just accept refund and buy from where else.I bought a fridge which came damaged, I simply went for refund and for it from somewhere else.
Another time, I got washing machine from dealer and it was damaged when installation guy opened it. He offered for repair or replacement. I asked for a replacement and it took 45 days for the complete process.
They will simply say something was not in stock and getting damaged in transit is a common thing. When seller is offering a refund or replacement… There is no case unless very high turnaround time like over 5-6 months.

January 13, 2025 at 5:13 pmYes.. I bought it from a local dealer. The installation guy was from LG and he initiated the process from his end. The new machine has to come directly from the factory, 500Km away. Luckily we had the old washing working condition.-

But what do things happen.Anything coming bad from online shopping first just get refund man if possible. Even though the bad experience from a local dealer, I still prefer big machines from local or official stores only.
